We will walk around and enjoy the amazing views. At night, we will stay in a traditional Ger (yurt), a cozy round tent used by Mongolian nomads. Enjoy a simple, warm meal and look up at the stars before sleeping. It will be an experience to remember!
Start the day with a trip to Yolyn Am, also called "Vulture Valley," and Dungene Valley. These breathtaking canyons are surrounded by steep rocky walls and are famous for having ice even in summer. Take a short hike to enjoy the stunning scenery, spot wildlife, and capture unforgettable photos. After exploring, visit the Gobi Museum to learn about the unique environment and history of the region. These areas are part of the "Three Beauties of Gobi" National Park, located at the southern edge of the majestic Altai Mountains. In the evening, settle into a traditional Ger (yurt) nestled in a peaceful mountain valley. Relax under the clear night sky and enjoy a restful night surrounded by nature.
Travel to the magnificent Khongoryn Els, one of Mongolia's largest sand dunes, stretching 125 km long, 20 km wide, and rising up to 400 meters high. Challenge yourself with a climb to the summit for incredible views and unforgettable photos. Experience the desert like a nomad with a camel ride across the golden sands, soaking in the unique beauty of the landscape. Later, visit a local nomadic family to learn about their way of life and traditions. As evening approaches, settle into a Ger (yurt) near the dunes, where you’ll spend the night surrounded by the magical desert scenery.
In the morning, we’ll drive 4 hours to the famous Bayan Zag, also known as the Flaming Cliffs. This iconic site is where the first dinosaur fossils were discovered, made famous by American paleontologist Roy Chapman Andrews in the 1920s. Explore the vibrant red cliffs and the unique saxaul forest that gives this place its name. Enjoy the breathtaking views and learn about the history of this world-renowned paleontological site. As night falls, camp in tents near the cliffs, surrounded by the quiet beauty of this extraordinary landscape.
As we leave the Gobi Desert behind, its vast sands will slowly disappear from view. Our journey takes us to the Ongi Monastery ruins, located at the meeting point of the desert and grasslands. Once home to 500 monks, this monastery was built in the late 18th century to commemorate the Dalai Lama’s first visit to Mongolia. Destroyed during the socialist regime, it was lovingly restored in 1990 and welcomed the Dalai Lama again in 1992. After exploring the ruins and learning their history, we’ll set up camp by the peaceful Ongi River, spending the night in tents under the stars.

Over the next two days, enjoy galloping across the expansive grasslands, surrounded by hundreds of horses, yaks, and nomadic families. Each day, we’ll ride around 30-35 km on easy and picturesque routes, immersing ourselves in the landscape and culture. In the evenings, we’ll camp under the stars, surrounded by the peaceful sounds of nature.
In the morning, we’ll continue our journey by car, heading to the historic city of Karakorum, once the political capital of Mongolia in the 13th century. For about 40 years, it was the heart of the Mongol Empire before Khublai Khan moved the capital. Upon arrival, we’ll visit the local museum to learn about the city’s rich history, followed by a tour of Erdene Zuu, the first Mongolian Buddhist monastery, built after the city’s destruction. In the evening, we’ll relax and stay overnight in a Ger camp by the riverside, surrounded by the peaceful landscapes that once witnessed the rise of the Mongol Empire.
In the morning, we will begin our journey back to Ulaanbaatar by car.
