• Gobi & Kara Korum Tour.

This tour takes you to the Mongolian Gobi desert known as second largest desert in the World and historical remains of Genghis Khan and ancient nomad’s cultural – UNESCO world heritage sites. First you will travel to vast Gobi desert for visiting at Khongoryn Els sand dunes – climbing and camel riding, Flaming Cliffs – cradle of dinosaurs, Vulture Valley – admire wildlife, and nature formations. Than we are heading to central Mongolia, visiting at Kara Korum – Ancient capital, first Mongolian Buddhist monastery – Erdene Zuu and enjoy watching wildlife and landscape. We will drive on nature road and our driving distance would be about 250km for per day. On the way, we will visit at nomadic families and get introduction of their unique lifestyle. Every day, we set up our tents nearby beautiful camping spots based on our scheduled distances and sleep under starry nights.

Day 1. Leaving Steppe riders to Baga Gazar Mountain Nature Reserve.

Day 2. Tsagaan Suvarga Mud Stone Nature Formations.

Day 3. Yolyn Am /Vulture Valley/

Day 1. Leaving Steppe riders to Baga Gazar Mountain Nature Reserve.

We will travel to famous Mongolian Gobi desert. On the way we break our journey at beautiful mountain nature reserve Baga Gazar rocky mountain in the middle Gobi desert. It is also home to wild sheep and goats. We visit at temple ruins and natural spring. Stay overnight at tents, in deep inside of rocky formations.

Day 2. Tsagaan Suvarga Mud Stone Nature Formations.

Today we are heading to Mongolian Gobi desert which occupies one third of the country. On the way, we visit overnight at Tsagaan Suvarga mud stone nature formation place. We will reach the Tsagaan Suvarga and explore to see different formations and go for hiking around. Stay overnight at tents.

Day 3. Yolyn Am /Vulture Valley/

We will start driving to Yolyn Am, known as ‘Vulture Valley’. Take a trip to Yol Am and Dungene valley – a wonderfully picturesque place with ice in summer, and surrounded by sheer rocky walls, forming incredible canyons. Enjoy small hiking and photographing the charming landscape and wildlife. Visit Gobi museum. These areas are situated in the Three Beauty of Gobi mountain national park which covers the most southern points of the Altai Mountains. Stay overnight at tents, in valley of mountain range.  

Day 4.  Khongoryn Els /Sand Dunes/.

We will drive to the sand dunes called Khongoryn Els.  It is one of the largest sand dunes in the country and it lies 125km, 20km wide and 400m high. It gives you big challenge to climb to summit and capturing some photos of sun set and rise. Camping overnight at tents, nearby sand dunes.

Day 5. Climbing to the sand dunes & Camel Riding.

We will do camel riding at sand dunes and visit at camel riding family. We can re climb and hike to the top of the largest sand dunes again and take some rest of the photos. Stay overnight at tents, under starry night.

Day 6. Bayan Zag /Flaming Cliffs/

In the morning, we will drive 4 hours to the famous Bayan zag /Falming Cliffs/ which is an important fossil finds have been known. It was famed by American paleontologist Roy Chapman Andrews who visited there in the 1920s. The area is the most famous place for findings of the first discovery of dinosaur fossils. There is also picturesque saxaul forest the place is named after and colorful rocks which is brilliantly colorful. Stay overnight at tents, nearby cliffs.

Day 7.Ongiin Khiid Monastery Ruins.

We will head off to Central Mongolia destinations and we will go smoothly disappearing from Gobi desert and break our journey to stay at Ongi monastery ruins. The monastery used to have about 500 monks and built in the late 18th century for dedicating the first visit to Mongolia by a Dalai Lama. The monastery was reopened in 1990 and current Dalai Lama visited in 1992. Stay overnight at tents, on bank of the Ongi river side.

Day 8. Ancient capital Kara korum City.

In the morning, we will drive through rolling hills to Kara Korum which was ancient political capital of Mongolia in 13th century for about only 40 years before Khublai Khan moved it. It is located in the central region of the country. We arrive and visit at local museum and first Mongolian Buddhist monastery Erdene zuu which was built after city destroyed. Stay overnight at tents, bank of Orkhon river side.

Day 9. Hustai National Park to see wild horses.

We will travel to Ulaanbaatar. On the way we break our journey at beautiful Hustai national park to see the wild horses ‘Takhi’ and wild life. We will also walk around in the wilderness.   

Day 10. Drive back to Ulaanbaatar 

We will drive back to Ulaanbaatar. Enjoy traveling from landscape. Arrive at Ulaanbaatar and end services.
